About Us

Growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; I was always interested in photography; but I really started to get into photography when I turned 16. I could drive into the city at sunrise to get shots of the city with the sun shining through gaps of the buildings and reflecting off the rivers. I also loved to get shots at dusk and at night from Mt. Washington. I majored in photography at Edinboro University, deep in the "Snow Belt". I met a cute Fine Arts Major named Nancy in my drawing class and we have been together ever since. Nancy is not only my best friend and wife; she is also my business partner.

After College I went to work for Eastman Kodak in Dallas, Texas. We ended up in the Frederick, Maryland area when I was transferred to the Washington Lab. My colleague and good friend, Ray Kelly inspired me to start my own photography business. I was with Kodak for 16 years and in 1990 Nancy and I started Creative Force Photography.

Since then we have been offering award winning commercial and wedding photography services in the Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania areas. We have photographed over 600 weddings and hundreds of national and local companies such as Alcoa, BB&T, Bechtel, JP Morgan Chase, Johns Hopkins, NBA, Prudential, Rubber Maid, Time Warner and the United States Marines. We covered assignments at the Pentagon, Senate Hearings on Capitol Hill, special events for the Washington Post, and our images have been published in articles and advertising around the world.

For our wedding coverage, we understand that every couple dreams of their wedding day. In a blink of an eye the day has come and gone and the only thing left are the memories and the images. That is why Nancy and I take great care to use our years of experience, artistry, and dedication to personally attend to each wedding couple's photographic needs. Every couple receives personal attention, beginning with the planning meeting to organize how they want their coverage; traditional, photojournalistic, or a mixture of styles. I oversee the lighting, cameras and composition of the Images. While Nancy brings her artistic view and commitment to every detail in the design of the images, providing you with the highest quality photographs available. The bride and groom can relax and enjoy their special day while the events and emotions are captured as unobtrusively as possible.
